How we count
A mission counts when it is closed with one of six favourable outcomes: animal captured and secured, returned to its owner, released on site, relocated and released, transferred to animal services, or transferred to a shelter. Animals that did not survive are subtracted from the total. Calls where no service was required, false alarms and animals that became unreachable are never counted as rescues.
