Report an animal in distress
An animal trapped, injured, orphaned or in danger anywhere in the Montréal metropolitan community? Here is how to reach us and what we need to know.
It's urgent: call us
The animal is in immediate danger, injured, in the water or has been stuck for hours. The phone is the fastest route: a dispatcher takes the call and mobilizes a team.
Before you call
- Note the exact address or the nearest landmark.
- Keep your distance: a frightened animal bites, scratches and bolts toward danger.
- Do not try to get a cat down from a tree yourself.
- Do not give milk or food to an injured or dehydrated animal.
- Take a photo from a distance if it is safe to do so.
- Keep children and other pets away.
It's not an immediate emergency
Fill in the form: your report lands directly in our dispatch queue, with a tracking number.
This is not our mandate
We are a technical rescue team. Some situations belong to another service, and calling the right number saves the animal precious time.
