The team
About thirty volunteers from emergency services, the animal world and the general public. They give entire days, often at night and on weekends, to go get animals no one else would go get.

Who they are
Firefighters, paramedics, police officers, animal health technicians, climbers, divers, accountants, truck drivers. The team does not recruit a profile, it recruits skills and availability. What brings these people together is not their trade, it is their decision to answer when the phone rings.
What it takes
Continuous training, procedures followed to the letter, and the ability to stay composed in front of an injured animal, a distressed owner or an unstable structure. Nobody climbs a tree on day one. You learn, you shadow, you are assessed, then you are assigned.
